William Allen
Director, Statewide Job Placement Services

William (Bill) Allen has worked over 28 years for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC). Bill is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Management from Emmanuel College. He began his career as a job placement specialist. In his current role as Director of Statewide Job Placement Services, he oversees employer development and engagement for 24 field offices of MRC. He works with organizations such as Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital; nominated by MRC and won the White House Champion of Change Award (2014) for their innovative strategies for hiring, promoting and retaining individuals with disabilities. The MRC Vocational Rehabilitation Division was also nominated and won the Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) Gould Award which recognized CVS Health and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for their groundbreaking work with “job driven” training programs for pharmacy technicians. The job placement services team coordinates their annual flagship hiring event with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) whereupon hundreds of qualified individuals with disabilities have secured competitive integrated employment.
